Solar Infrastructure Helping Artists in Black Rock City
The Solar Library was created to help small art projects convert to solar power without creating panel proliferation or increasing the number of freight vehicles driven to the burn. The Solar Library is Sun powered charging infrastructure allowing Artists to buy batteries instead of a generator. Artists apply for a library card to reserve charging capacity for their project. This way they do not need to take on the extra engineering of a solar array and can focus on their art. Instead of filling generators and going to Hell Station for fuel they simply swap batteries each afternoon. It is Fusion Powered art!
